Bitcoin Highlights of the Week

MicroStrategy, a prominent player in the Bitcoin ecosystem, has acquired an additional 850 bitcoins for $37.2 million. This brings MicroStrategy’s total holdings to 190,000 bitcoin.

Tether leads Oobit’s $25 million Series A round, aiming to propel Bitcoin and crypto adoption via Tap & Pay mobile solutions.

Fidelity Canada announces a 1% Bitcoin allocation in their All-in-One Conservative ETF, while dedicating 3.1% to the aggressive portfolio and 2.5% to the balanced portfolio.

Replit, a software development platform, offers its first Bitcoin-native bounty where applicants are to create a Web5-enabled Bitcoin app for transactions and get paid Bitcoin.

Citrea, Bitcoin’s first ZK rollup, enables complex applications without compromising security or changing consensus rules, by leveraging zero-knowledge proofs.

Ethereum Highlights of the Week

ERC-404 has recently popped up combining ERC-20 with ERC-721. This allows for coins to have fungible and non-fungible properties. This means, fractional ownership of NFTs, and NFT's to be sold immediately on a DEX when sold. This offers a solution for the NFT Illiquidity problem.

GoDaddy and Ethereum Name Service (ENS) join forces to provide domain customers the ability to connect their domain name to their ENS name, bridging the gap between domain names and blockchain technology.

In the past week, the total value locked (TVL) in the leading Ethereum restaking protocol, EigenLayer tripled from $2B to $6B. The growth comes as the project just temporarily lifted its deposit caps.

Polygon are set to rebrand their native-token, $MATIC, to $POL. The rebranding is set is to happen this month, and is usually a clear bullish signal to the market.

Pandora is the first token built on the ERC404 token standard. ERC404 is an experimental token standard that have open source for creators and developers alike.

Cosmos Highlights of the Week

Nolus Protocol introduces a feature for leasing $STRD and $DYDX tokens. This allow up to 3x leverage on holdings with a fixed interest rate and favorable liquidation terms. This community-driven initiative lets users enhance their token value through a stable and predictable leasing service.

The ATOM Accelerator Grant Program went live this week. The program aims to drive adoption for ATOM and attract developers, consumer chains and users to the Cosmos Hub.

Onramp Money and Osmosis have integrated. This integration, will enable users from India and Europe to buy $OSMO instantly with bank transfers with $EUR and $INR in Osmosis app.

Dymension goes live on the interchain. Dymension mainnet paves the way for standardizing rollups with IBC. This enables the easy deployment of app-specific rollups (RollApps).

Archway and Shade Protocol have announced the execution of $SHD and $ARCH liquidity pool with ~$50k worth of liquidity. $SHD is set to come to Archway DeFi soon as well.

Other Highlights of the Week

Stocks such as MicroStrategy and Coinbase are pumping. Bitcoin mining firms like CleanSpark (CLSK) and Marathon Digital (MARA) are also up big over the last week.

Worldcoin’s Orb will be used to verify the identities of e-sports players. Community Gaming, a blockchain-based esports tournament platform, is integrating Worldcoin’s World ID to weed out cheaters.

Shrapnel (blockchain-based first-person shooting game) is giving away $100K in crypto for playing this week. Developers say they have ~$3M to incentivize players to try out the game.
