Global investment firm VanEck refiles for their BTC ETF with the SEC. By doing so, reaffirmation and dedication to provide a regulated BTC investment avenue for both retail and institutional investors.

The Rebel Satoshi presale has begun as the meme coin strive to ignite a transformation in the crypto market. With the overall meme coin market valued at $20 billion, investors need to take notice of $RBLZ.

One of Switzerlands largest banks, St. Galler Kantonalbank, has introduced BTC and ETH trading services for select customers, and has announced plans to add further cryptocurrencies in the future.

Ethereum Highlights of the Week

Executives at SafeMoon have been charged with securities fraud, money laundering and wire fraud. The charged executive used the funds for personal investments, real estate investments and to purchase luxury vehicles.

The Aragon Association (AA), the legal steward of the Aragon treasury, assets, and mission, has passed the resolution to dissolve the Aragon Association and allow all token holders to redeem ANT for ETH.

The first onchain mobile game has launched on Base, Drawtech. By playing Drawtech, players can earn rewards by their drawing skills and shared canvases.

An Ethereum whale withdrew 8,698 ETH from Binance worth $15.94 million. This move made the ETH price jump 2.64%.

Cosmos Highlights of the Week

Modular blockchain Celestia launches its mainnet beta, and distributes its native TIA token to its users. Celestia strive to address scalability and stability challenges common in ‘rigid’ blockchains like Ethereum and Solana.

Osmosis integration for the new fee system was initiated on Keplr Wallet and Leap Wallet. This means, that builders on Osmosis can now query the current base fee.

Nomic completed the interchain upgrade enabling nBTC to be transferable via IBC.

The first-ever live bridge between a Cosmos rollup and an Ethereum rollup was made with Catalyst.

Side Protocol Introduces Insiders and SBI, which are a DAO for dedicated community members. The purpose of Insiders and SBI is to preserve community identity and maintaining a cohesive community spirit.

Other Highlights of the Week

The SEC issued a subpoena to PayPal requesting documentation on PYUSD, PayPal's stablecoin. In August, PayPal went live with PYUSD, which is a dollar-pegged stablecoin.

Ripple has received a $770 million fine from the SEC due to violation of securities laws. After the SEC has lost its previous legal battles against Ripple, the regulator's fine scheme will enable a new go at Ripple.

Coinbase introduce to US retailers a futures program giving access to regulated contracts with their Coinbase Financial Markets (CFM) secured approval to operate a Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) entity.

With his latest acquisition, Elon Musk unveiled plans for X and how he plans to introduce financial services to its users. Musk unveils, that services traditionally provided via a bank will soon be possible on X.

FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried has been found guilty on all seven charges which include multiple counts of fraud, conspiracy and money laundering. SBF’s sentence could be a maximum of 115 years in federal prison, and the sentencing has been tentatively set for March 2024.

USDC issuer Circle is phasing out its support for individual accounts to mint its stablecoins. The decision made by Circle will not affect business or institutional Circle Mint accounts, but retail users. Retails users will however still be able to access USDC through brokerages, crypto exchanges and digital asset wallet services.
